Faculty Of Engineering Unizik Holds 2nd Lecture Series

The faculty of Engineering Nnamdi Azikiwe University (Unizik), Awka on Wednesday 22nd held the 2nd edition of engineering lectures.

Speaking on the theme: Oil and gas and the economy of Anambra state, the guest speaker Engr. Iyke Akaezumba, (deputy managing director, Orient petroleum resources Plc), while delivery his lecture spoke extensively on the benefit of oil and gas and the impact it will make in Anambra especially now that the state has been officially confirmed and approved as a oil producing state. 

Akuezumba expressed optimism on the future of oil and gas stating that what is coming is good especially as regards employment for the youths.

Chairman of the occasion, Chief Engr Charles Tabansi (CEO COTABS engineering Ltd) praised the faculty of engineering for organizing the lecture stating that it will help in shaping the minds of the youths and also changing the narratives.

Royal Father of the day, HRM Igwe Sir Benneth Emeka (Oko Ebo 2 of Umueri) in an interview with reporters congratulated the executive Governor of Anambra state Chief Willie Obiano for making it possible for the state to be enlisted as an oil producing state in Nigeria. This is a welcome development and with the international airport in the state, Anambra is heading on the right direction. He commended Unizik and the faculty of engineering for their efforts in training young minds.
