Gov Obiano joins #EndSARS Protesters in Anambra

1. I support Anambra Youths because they did not only vote and defend their votes in my 21-over-21 victory but all their requests are genuine and germane; and I oblige to honour them all.

2. I feel honoured being in their midst to share in their feelings.

3. Federal Government has disbanded SARS but I will personally visit all SARS offices in Anambra State to ensure that anyone being held is released, immediately.

4. James Nwafor, former OC SARS in Anambra State is sacked and will be prosecuted.

5. I'll ensure that the Presidency does the needful to ensure a better life for our youths, for us, ndi Anambra and for our nation.

Thank you Africa's most Youth friendly Leader!

Anambra state Governor, Chief Willie Obiano said that former Awkuzu SARS Commander, James Nwafor will be relieved of his political appointment and recommended for immediate prosecution, along with other SARS officials that abused their offices.

The Governor, who disclosed this on Thursday, October 15th, 2020, while addressing the #ENDSARS protesters at the Government House, Awka, said that effective tomorrow, all illegal detainees in various SARS formations in the state will be released, while officers found wanting will be prosecuted.

He addressed other issues raised by the protesters asking them to open up the expressway which has been blocked.

Recall that Nwafor, who served as commander of the defunct Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) in Awkuzu, Anambra State has been accused of atrocious acts, extra-judicial killings and human rights violations.
