The indigenes and entire people of Awka North have made a rallying call on the masses of Awka North/South ahead of Saturdays General Elections to make sure that equity and fair play is enthroned by making sure that Chief Godson Ezenagu, the SDP candidate for the Awka North/South Federal Constituency in the House of Reps emerges victorious.

This call was made yesterday in Awba Ofemili in Awka North during the ward rally.
Chief  Ezenagu made a grand entry into the community as he was ushered in with 3 gunshot salute (nkponani), a special band group singing his praises and an entertaing group of cultural dancers.

Ogechukwu Ogu,  a woman from Obizi spoke and implored the massive crowd gathered there to see to it that their son, Ochendo,  who is from Awka North wins the election. She explained how shameful it would be if their own son could not get their support.
According to her, she was shocked to see the deplorable state of the roads in Awka North and this is because for many years, only men from Awka South have continuously held the house of reps position and it was normal for them to face their own area when planning projects. She concluded that it was time for Awka North to represent the constituency in Abuja.
Ochendo in his keynote address urged his people to deliver him at the  polls as they would stand to gain a lot if he, being from Awka North eventually won.
The tour continued to Ugbunu and Ugbene, ebenebe still of Awka North where the campaign team were met with large crowds and dancers at each venue.
