HON.OKOYE URGES HIS CONSTITUENTS TO EMBRACE PEACE. BY: ifeanyi Okonkwo


Majority leader Anambra state house of Assembly Hon. Victor Jideofor Okoye member representing Anambra West has hailed the security agencies for their gallantness and rapid response in cases of emergency.


Okoye, before moving a motion for adjoinment at plenary praised the Army and police for the role they played and are still playing in stopping community dispute between Nzam and Umuenwulum.

In his words " Let me use this opportunity to thank the head of agencies of police and army for coming to our rescue especially for their speedy response.

'Not too long ago, two communities were in a dispute over land and it resulted to conflict.

'I want to express my gratitude to the commissioner of police and to the commander 302 for their urgent response when I called them to come.

"I am pleading to my constituents to embrace peace. It is better to resolve conflicts  peacefully and amicablly.

"We have the boundary committee here in Anambra state. Let aggrived persons take their complances to the boundary committee or seek redress at the court of law.

" I also want to commend His Excellency the executive governor of  Anambra state Chief Willie Obiano for providing logistics for the military and police and they have been working 24 hours.
